Dr. Balazs Hodosi is a Swedish board-certified Consultant Dermatologist with extensive clinical exposure. Dr Hodosi previously worked as Consultant Dermatologist in Ajman, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Hospital, UAE and prior to that as Consultant Dermatologist for 10 years in Sweden at the Centralshjukhuset Karlstad, running his private practice in parallel.
Dr. Hodosi received his medical degree (M.D.) at the Medical School of Pecs in Hungary, where he also completed his residency and started his practice at the Department of Dermatology. Dr Hodosi is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the European Academy of Dermatology (EAD) and the Swedish Dermatological Society (SSVD).
His medical expertise includes all aspects of medical dermatology, managing skin diseases (e.g. psoriasis, acne, rosacea, eczema, urticaria, nail and hair diseases, infections and sexually transmitted diseases) with the most up to date methods, dermatoscopic assessment and treatment of skin lesions (e.g. moles, skin tags, warts, different types of skin tumors, laser treatment, surgery, cryotherapy and PDT).
During his residency, Dr. Hodosi received scholarships from the European Academy of Dermatology and the Scottish Dermatological Society for his work in the field of allergology and psoriasis. He is co-author of the psoriasis treatment guidelines in Sweden and worked for several years as an expert in psoriasis for the Swedish Ministry of Health. For his efforts in the field, he received the prestigious Spira Scholarship from the Swedish Dermatological Society in 2016.
